The city was once the centre of trans-Himalayan trade between India and Tibet with merchants ferrying goods through Jelep la Pass on the Sikkim-Tibet border. The city is also known for its educational institutions, most of which were established during the British era.

After breakfast
Drive to Kalimpong, also called the Garden of Flowers situated on the foothills of the Himalayas is a green destination at an altitude of 1243 meters / 4078 feet.
we will set off for local sightseeing of Durpin Hill, Jelapla View Point, Pine View Point, Chitra Bhanu & Kalim Temple,
Evening back to Darjeeling for an overnight stay.
